About the Role

Groot is seeking a safety-conscious Trailer Mechanic to join our team at our Materials Recovery Facility (MRF) in

Plainfield, IL. This role is responsible for performing preventative maintenance, inspections, and repairs on trailers

used in daily operations to ensure safe, reliable, and compliant equipment. Key Responsibilities Inspect, diagnose, and

repair trailers, including brakes, suspension, air systems, electrical wiring, lighting, doors, floors, frames, and

landing gear Perform preventative maintenance and DOT inspections on trailers Complete necessary repairs identified

through Daily Inspection Reports Power wash trailers and equipment as part of routine maintenance Respond to emergency
