About the Role

The CNC Machinist operates large CNC milling machines and has the ability to fine-tune speeds and feeds so that required

finishes and tolerances are achieved. Parts are up to 80 tons and 30 meters in length. Level 1 Machinist: ~ Ability to

add, subtract, divide, and multiply ~ Ability to read and interpret simple production blueprints and sketches Set-ups:

Easy lift light 30K lb. part with good pick points, no rolling, simple prismatic part with setup sheet ~ Line up and

Startup: Simple lineup with proven programs and tooling ~ Modify the existing program to make part to print ~

Fine-tuning feed and speed by using the program ~ Work with Engineer for the machining process ~ Makes rough cuts, &
